Individual Musical Instrument Lessons
"Music expresses that which can not be said and on which it is impossible to be silent"
At BSB we seek to provide the students the opportunity to reach their full potential and achieve their greatest progress.
In addition to classroom music studies and a range of co-curricular music activities, individual musical instrument lessons are available at school as an optional extra. These lessons are one-to-one so the teacher is able to work with the specific interests and needs of the pupil. The usual pattern is a once-a-week lesson of 40 minutes, supported by daily individual practice which the pupil does independently at home under parental supervision.
The lessons are taught by staff from within the Music Department and by visiting teachers. Instruments currently offered are piano, saxophone, clarinet, flute, violin, violoncello, double bass, trumpet, euphonium, trombone and drumkit. Lessons in Music Theory and Sound Mixing are also available.
For full details please contact the school office and request the current registration letter for Individual Musical Instrument Lessons. Registration is normally at the beginning of each term.
If your child would like to have lessons but does not have an instrument, please contact the Music Department for information about renting an instrument.
