FBSB Intercultural Workshop – Expat Family Life
With Claudia Landini – Intercultural trainer and coach
Aware of the ever-growing population of parents and children living in a culture that is not their own, BSB this year has invited a couple of guest speakers to talk about the dynamics, the challenges and the uniqueness of this life and how to live it at this best.
Claudia Landini, intercultural trainer and coach, came to visit BSB on 12th February and held a three hour workshop for BSB parents. During this highly interactive workshop, Claudia analysed the dynamics that are common to all expat families, the changes in the family identity and the challenges and benefits of a mobile life. We reflected together on how to turn difficulties into wins and how to make the most of the experience abroad and identified useful tools and strategies to efficiently go through the adventure of growing.
The workshop had some very interactive moments with games conducted by Claudia and some more individual and more personal moments of reflection. The outcome was very positive and gave BSB parents a lot of good tools to use in continuing an intercultural life.
