About the Foundation
The British School of Bucharest was founded in August 2000, filling a demand in the country for high quality, internationally recognised education, providing a clear pathway to the best universities worldwide.
Since its inception, The British School of Bucharest has offered the UK curriculum education to both local families and the city's dynamic international community.
It soon became one of the greatest schools in the country, attracting pupils from Romania and all over the world.
In the early days, the school was based in a villa in Cotroceni, close to the Presidential Palace, however a rapid development allowed us to move, establishing the school close to Herastrau Park and and the next move made the school becoming a landmark in the Pipera area.
Today BSB occupies a mature and spacious campus on 2,2 Hectares to the north of the city, in the residential suburb Pipera, situated close to the Baneasa forest, with space for separate Creche & EYFS, Primary and Secondary centers all in one location.
