Abigail Turkmore


Head of Performing Arts and Teacher of Drama

Abigail Turkmore brings significant experience to the British School of Bucharest in her role as Head of Performing Arts. Working for a Manchester high school as the Community Arts Coordinator, Abigail taught Art, Drama and Dance. She also taught in three primary schools and a specialist support secondary school. In this role, she was responsible for developing learning opportunities in the local community, including choreographing, rehearsing and performing multiple school shows every term. She also ran weekly art workshops, involving professionals from the field of arts and holding local exhibitions. Before joining our school, Abigail worked for Academy Trust Schools in the UK as the Head of Arts and Drama.
