Toddlers Group

The toddler group is for children aged 0-3. It is particularly appropriate for those children who are ready for a more formal setting than playing at someone's house, but are not old enough for the crèche or full-time at crèche. It is run entirely by parents, with each of us taking it in turns to set up the craft-based-activity, tidy up, and provide a healthy snack. The aim of the group is to develop motor skills though a variety of craft activities, encourage imagination and communication, and further social interaction, particularly encouraging sharing. To this aim we have a different craft activity each week, which usually involves sticking, painting or cutting, and provide play dough and drawing equipment each week. There are also some toys such as building bricks available. Mid-way through the session, we all sit in a circle to share a snack together, encouraging good manners and healthy eating! We then go outside to take advantage of the crèche playground, and finish the morning with some action songs and a story. We have around 20 children registered with approximately 15 attending each week (taking into account sickness and holidays) and it is a very popular group

We run this group in the community room at the British School every Monday from 9:30-11:30. The address of the school can be found at www.britishschool.ro. We charge a small fee to cover the cost of materials. All members of the community are very welcome.
