Charity Events

At BSB students take an active role in a variety of fundraising activities. By helping others they develop their own social awareness and learn to take initiative in supporting the community. Some Secondary Students plan their own fundraising events as part of their qualification for the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
Our school has active partnerships with many community organizations including the following:

Inocenti Foundation - helps hospitalized children
Asociatia Vasiliada - support for poor children in rural areas
The Guide Dog Association - train the first Romanian Guide Dog to help blind people
Down Syndrome Association of Bucharest - support for youngsters with the Down syndrome
St Stelian's - support for street children
Concordia - Austrian charity organization supporting street children and orphans
Remar Foundation - Supports homeless adults and children
Second Chance - Aid for a community in Berceni, on the outskirts of Bucharest
We raise money and collect clothes, toys and food to support these local charities with a variety of activities throughout the year.
